Nathan Lee Bishop

Nathan Lee Bishop

Henderson, Kentucky
I grew up on a tobacco farm in Centertown, Kentucky, where my parents own and operate Bishop’s Grocery, a family business opened by my grandmother in 1973. After a childhood of cutting tobacco and stocking shelves, I went Western Kentucky University, where I first met my fiancée, Emily. We are both avid Hilltopper fans.

During this time, I became involved with Owensboro Sister Cities and Regions and spent three summers living in the Czech Republic as both a student and intern. Immersing myself in another culture and language was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, teaching me to think outside the box while wandering off the beaten path.

I began law school at the University of Toledo with the sole purpose of serving others. While in Toledo, I volunteered with the Reentry Coalition of Northwest Ohio to help reduce recidivism rates and spent a summer working with the Appalachian Research and Defend Fund in Harlan, Kentucky, providing legal services to individuals living below the poverty line. Since moving to Henderson, I have remained dedicated to serving my community and representing clients with compassion and dedication.
