Community Service

Volunteering time and money to worthy causes in the community where we live and work is an important part of our mission at Curt Hamilton Injury Law. Here are some of the things we’ve done in the community:

2014 Heart Of Downtown Henderson Award

Curt was very surprised and humbled to receive the top award given to volunteers in our city; the Heart of Downtown Award. He was speechless. The award from the Downtown Henderson Partnership is proudly displayed in our reception area.

Community Foundation Of Henderson

Curt is one of the founding directors of the Foundation and currently serves on the executive committee as Secretary. We raise permanently endowed funds, offer donor services and support local non-profits through charitable giving and education.

Henderson Chamber Of Commerce

Curt served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors from 2007-2013, and was elected as Vice Chairperson for the Public Policy Development for the final two years of his tenure. During his time on the Chamber board, we hired a new President, relocated to a more modern facility and added a record number of new members. Curt also advocated for progressive changes in our community.

KYNDLE Economic Development Council

Beginning in late 2013, the Henderson Chamber merged with the Chambers of Commerce in Union, Webster and McLean Counties and with the four-county Northwest Kentucky Economic Development Council to become KYNDLE. In 2014, Curt was asked to serve as a member of new KYNDLE economic development arm. We direct and offer input on KYNDLE’s industrial recruitment and expansion strategies.

Henderson Lions Club

Curt has been a Lion since 1997 and has served in every office including President in Henderson’s largest civic organization. He was named Lion of the Year in 2008. As Chair of the Auction Committee in 2011, the committee members and Curt completely revamped the Lions Television Auction, adding online bidding, modernizing payment options and changing to a more modern studio. Look for Curt on television each year during the Auction!

Hugh Edward Sandefur Center

Curt is establishing/funding a foundation for the Hugh Edward Sandefur Center, a special-needs training center and workplace for disabled adults. His son works there and it is very important to him.
